Bdt, Bovone Diamond Tool, enters in the stone industry

Bovone Diamond Tools was established on the will of Vittorio Bovone as a natural completion to the Elettromeccanica Bovone in order to take advantage of the synergy between two complementary companies. The result of this union has been the possibility to continuously implement the production technology of machines and grinding wheels for glass processing and the positive results are evident from the continuous improvement of tools and from the enlargement of the range that now covers all types of glass tools.
Last year the company decided to take another important step that is to start the production of grinding wheels for stone industry, and this despite the fact that the general economic situation not recommended any investment mainly in new areas for the company itself. Therefore, new machines were bought for this new production that is synthesizing automatic machines, biggest and high performance spark erosion machines, tools that reduce labor time by increasing the reproducibility of the various operations as new induction welding, automatic scales CNC and various tools for measurement and control.
As regards the technology it has been possible to count on new production managers coming from well-established companies in stone field and so the existing know-how joined the skills of these new technicians that have decades of specialized experience. In this way the production of stone tools has started covering the entire range of diamond wheels, including diamond polishing, which were named SHINE, and that concretely showed a very good quality and a longer lifetime than the same wheels on the market.
These new workers can therefore provide in the company and on-site by the customer, if necessary, a first choice and always ready technical support because it was kept the agility of a structure of average size but that has always made of the readiness of technical and commercial responses its primary characteristic. The answer to the commitment supported by the company came quickly, in fact, already since the beginning of the year the constant demand of the U.S. and European customers is the result of the high quality of the wheels, to which corresponds good prices and attentive service. BDT will exhibit its tools for the first time at the Verona Fair and like all first times the tension is there. Considering that this sector also has suffered because of the global crisis and that the producing companies are many and excellent, it will not be easy for this "beginner" to expanding customers. However, the Bovone brand is known and appreciated for nearly sixty years and is synonymous of high reliability in the glass world. This aspect will undoubtedly give impetus to this new production.
